Residence Life ad – Macon Magazine 2023
A half-page ad for MGA’s Residence Life that ran in Macon Magazine in 2023. We used a great drone shot of our newest residence hall, so I focused on that as the main visual. Since it also happened to show off the rest of the Macon campus, I used the arrows to pair “Live” with the residence hall and “Learn” with the largest building on campus. It’s an efficient way to show off both how nice the newest dorm was while also highlighting the short distance to classes. The primary font and rounded shape for the logo & URL matches the Viewbook design used at the time. Designed in Adobe Illustrator.
Aviation Ad – JAMES Magazine 2023
A full-page ad for JAMES Magazine that ran in 2023. A follow-up to the other “The Sky’s The Limit” ad, this included more information about the aviation programs offered. Each photo represents one of the three primary branches of the MGA’s Aviation program: Flight, Air Traffic Control, and Maintenance. Designed in Adobe Illustrator.
Grad Certificates – Macon Magazine 2023
A half page advertisement for MGA’s Graduate Certificates that ran in Macon Magazine in 2023. The brief didn’t have a hook, so I pitched this idea of a running image with the included text using different weights for emphasis. It was more emotion-focused than the typical higher-ed ad, but the higher-ups liked it enough to try something new. Photo editing done in Photoshop, full ad created in Illustrator.
MBPL Ad – GA 500 2023
A half-page ad for Georgia 500 magazine that ran in 2022, advertising MGA’s new Master’s Degree in Professional Leadership. I tweaked a stock photo found on Unsplash.com to increase the shadowed area, allowing for more text. A serif font was chosen to reinforce the professionalism associated with a Business degree paired with MGA’s brand font, Gotham. Designed in Photoshop.
Athletics Ad – GA Trend 2023
A half-page ad for Georgia Trend magazine that ran in 2023 as part of a larger push for MGA athletics. I cropped each athlete from sets of photos, making sure to represent a wide range of sports and equal gender representation. The purple explosion was made with a variety of custom brushes. Congrats Grads Ad – Macon Melody 2025
An ad celebrating MGA’s graduating class of 2025 for Macon Melody Magazine. A simple core message with a grad cap and a flurry of vibrant colors and shapes to draw the eye. Larger shapes match the central text’s colors while the smaller shapes use the opposite(ish) colors for a touch of contrast. Designed in Illustrator.
Aviation Ad – JAMES Magazine 2023
An aviation ad for JAMES Magazine that ran in 2023. This was a very quick turnaround; less than 48 hours from start to deadline. We knew it had to simple and punchy, so I started with “The Sky’s The Limit” in a bold, san-serif font as the focal point. I found a stock image of a purple sky, tweaked the colors to better match MGA’s brand, and used the text as a mask to let the vibrant colors and shifting highlights/shadows of the image contrast with the white space around it. I then place the plane silhouette and removed the contrail area from the text to create some excitement. Designed with Photoshop & Illustrator.
Aviation Ad – 99’s Magazine
A full page advertisement for MGA’s Aviation program that ran in the 99’s Magazine in 2022. The Ninety-Nines is an international, non-profit organization of licensed women pilots. Base image created in Photoshop; other elements placed with Illustrator.
